The Procurement Intelligence Unit delivers timely, consolidated market data and analysis and in-depth research for its corporate subscribers through a fully categorised web portal. In addition, the PIU brings together clients, in a non-competitive, face-to-face environment to share knowledge, experiences and insight, helping each uncover solutions and seize new opportunities.
For subscribers, the PIU web portal provides two channels of fully categorised procurement intelligence (by industry, by topic, by category, by region);
Channel 1 - Insight
Acting as a ‘Bloomberg for procurement' provides frequent analysis of market conditions and data and how these activities specifically affect procurement. Typically Insight would focus on such topics as, exchange rate fluctuations, commodity prices, industry trends, supplier and supplier market conditions.
- Daily Analysis - In Depth and In Brief articles delivered daily, including 'so what' analysis, helping members to track key market activities and trends
- In Review - Executive abstracts of key articles from the leading global business press, websites and leading events
Channel 2 - Strategy
Uncovers and explores sparks for innovation and hot topics and concepts through frequent high-level research reports and real life case studies and tools, focusing on the major issues on the executive and operational procurement agenda. All information is provided in a shared environment with a strong focus on solution finding.
- Executive reports - In depth, quarterly research studies offering high-level, strategic focus on implementation and best practice
- Operational reports - Fortnightly reports focusing on topical issues such as supplier market reviews, trend analysis, industry focus, PMI reviews etc.
- Benchmarking and best practice reports - Longer term studies, indices and project outcomes
